Hi, I'm Angela 👋

My interests summed up are live music, gaming, computers and animals. My background is in teaching, Police, and council work.

I started Lyf Ready because I realised that there are loads of things we all need to know in life… but hardly anyone actually teaches them.

At school, you can learn about Pythagoras and photosynthesis, but nobody really explains things like:

• What even is a mortgage?

• What’s a credit score?

• How should you save your money?

• What does your first payslip actually mean or look like?

• How do you know your chicken is cooked without poisoning yourself?

• Think you might have a disability or disorder and don’t know how to approach your parents or GP?

• What are calories, and should you care?

• I want to be less shy but don’t know how?

• What should you expect from your first job?

• And how do you survive school drama, workplace drama, and all the awkward stuff that comes with becoming an adult?

Honestly, being an adult sometimes feels like everyone else got an instruction manual and you somehow missed the email.

This isn't about lectures, judgement, or pretending anyone has life completely figured out. It's about having a place where teenagers and young adults can ask questions, vent, share what's on their mind, and get honest, practical advice from someone who genuinely wants to help.

No question is too silly.

No judgement.

No "because I said so."

Just real conversations, real life skills, and free advice.
